Broker Check
Bruce Wackelin

I began my career in Edenton as an agent representing the North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company and Southern Farm Bureau Life for nine years.

In order to be able to provide my clients with more comprehensive financial solutions, I formed Wackelin Financial Services in 1990 as an independent firm unconstrained by proprietary products.

In 1991 I began my affiliation with Walnut Street Securities until my current broker-dealer, Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, acquired them in 2013.  In addition to being a Registered Principal and an Investment Advisor Representative, I serve as a Designated Supervisor.

Since our inception I have worked to expand our platform of investment solutions and insurance services in order to help better meet the changing needs of our clients.

I hold a BA in American Studies from Beloit College and studied mechanical engineering at North Carolina State University.

Community involvement is integral to our commitment to service.  Over the years I have participated in and held positions in several historic preservation and arts organizations in both Edenton and Greenville as well as the Tidewater Red Cross Regional Blood Program, the Edenton Parks and Recreation summer swimming program, and the Greenville Babe Ruth board of directors. I have also been involved in civic organizations including the Edenton Rotary Club, and have served as the president of the Edenton Jaycees and as the president of the Greenville Noon Rotary Club.

I am married to the former Peggy Harris of Hertford and have one son, Capt. Spencer C. Wackelin (USA) who is married to the former Kaitlyn Wallace of Greenville.
